Please join us as celebrated storytellers Arif Choudhury and Noa Baum share stories that will delight, surprise and foster connections between people of all backgrounds.
Noa Baum is an award-winning storyteller and author focusing on the power of narrative to heal across the divides of identity and build bridges of peace and understanding. She presents internationally from the World Bank and prestigious universities to congregations of all faiths, schools and detention centers. Noa is a winner of a Parents Choice and Storytelling World awards. Her recently published memoir, A Land Twice Promised, won the 2017 Anne Izard Storyteller’s Choice Award. www.noabaum.com
Arif Choudhury is a professional storyteller, filmmaker, teacher and stand-up comic. Focusing on issues of ethnic and religious identity, assimilation, multiculturalism, and diversity, his stories poke fun at how we think of one another. He performs internationally in festivals, schools, and conferences. Arif's publications include a storytelling CD and a short film entitled "Coloring" based on his childhood. He is the author of a children's book The Only Brown-Skinned Boy in the Neighborhood and a contributor of a story in the book Salaam, Love: Muslim Men on Love, Sex, and Intimacy.
